The InfoStrides

Indo-Kuwait Friendship Society (IKFS) Kuwait, strongly protests the burning of Holy Quran at the churches in Gainesville in Florida. President Ghalib Al-Mashoor said that this is a shameful act. Its shame for civilized people and the world should not allow to do such an immoral act. IKFS value The US government's courage steps for stopping this uncivilized Pastor Terry Jones's in his earlier attempts for burning the Holy Quran.  However, the recent burning  is simply appalling that the Pastor Terry Jones has  done a cheap act and streaming of the video showing the Burning of Holy Quran. It is pertinent to mention here that the same pastor burned a copy of the holy Quran in March last year.

IKFS asks U.S. Officials to consider Pastor Terry Jones to be named him as a "Wanted Terrorist" for inciting hatred among the civilizations of world as  he did not pay heed to U.S. government officials, but he went ahead with his plans for burning copies of Holy Quran as same way did by some of the NATO forces at one of their military bases in Afghanistan.

According to a 2010 study, Islam has about 2.0 Billion adherents, making up over 23% of the world population.  But the variance is about +20.0% from the initial study as per the latest census. Islam is the predominant religion in the Middle East, in the Horn of Africa, in Northern Africa, and in some parts of Asia. Large communities of Muslims are also found in China, the Balkan, and Russia. Other parts of the world host large Muslim immigrant communities; in Western Europe, for instance, Islam is the second largest religion after where it represents 6.0% of the total population.

According to the  Pew Research Centre in 2010 Holy Quran (for review: www.tanzil.net) is the holiest book for world's about 2.0 Billion Muslims and that the Muslims are even become ready to sacrifice their lives to protect sanctity of the book.

There were 49  Muslim Majority countries. Around 62% of the world's Muslims live in the Asia-Pacific region, with over 1.0 Billion adherents. The largest Muslim country is Indonesia home to 12.7% of the world's Muslims followed by Pakistan (11.0%), India (10.9%), and Bangladesh (9.2%). About 20.0% of Muslims live in Arab Countries. In the Middle East, the non-Arab countries of Turkey and Iran are the largest Muslim-majority countries; in Africa, Egypt and  Nigeria have the most populous Muslim communities.

A study conducted by the Pew Research Center in 2010 and released January 2011 found that there are 1.62 Billion Muslims around the world, accounting for roughly 1 in 4 people are Muslims. The study found more Muslims in Germany than in Lebanon and more in China than in Syria.
