Last weekend, nearly 200 women and men gathered for the Women Entrepreneurs (WE) Festival at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts. The event was hosted by the Interactive Telecommunications Program (ITP), a graduate-level program in alternative media encouraging creative innovations in communications technologies.With the goal of fostering a community of established and aspiring female entrepreneurs, conference attendees explored creative solutions to the unique challenges facing women in business and technology while celebrating the achievements of those women.More...

eSpace, the Boulder business incubator for space entrepreneurs, is looking for a half dozen new companies to launch into Colorado's growing space industry.Part of the Center for Space Entrepreneurship, the incubator was started in 2009 by the University of Colorado at Boulder and Sierra Nevada Corp.'s Space Systems Group in Louisville. Our servers are our tour guides for an evening likely to go down in the memory books for when I am old. They are the key to the success or failure of a restaurant, and we tip them accordingly.Recently, Portland was rated as the "Foodiest City" by Bon Apetit. Most of those restaurants are centered in the downtown section of the city, which happens to be largely within my house district.
