Flying Eagles midfielder Chidi Osuchukwu is optimistic that the nation's U-20 side will retain the title they won at the last edition in South Africa.
.
Osuchukwu who plays for Dolphins FC of Port Harcourt told Complete Sports from the team's Mouradi Hotel in Gammarth on the outskirts of Tunis that the players are already in competition mood and can't wait to hit Algeria for the African Youth Championship.
.
"We are in good spirit here. We want to defend the title we won two years ago in South Africa and qualify for the U-20 World Cup."
.
"We were greatly lifted by the arrival of the coach (John Obuh) here because he did not travel with us and he has asked us to concentrate on the assignment at hand."
.
"There have been issues that have to do with the welfare packages and all that could affect any team's focus but we are well focused here."
.
"For me, the desire to be part of the team to the FIFA U-20 World Cup is my major inspiration," the skilful midfielder stated.
