Forbes has named Nigerian billionaire, Aliko Dangote as the 64th most powerful person in the world. As of March 2013, Dangote has an estimated NET worth of $16.1 billion. He is owner of multibillion Naira company Dangote Group.

The list which highlights 72 people was chosen with four main criteria:

(1) How many people they have power over (2) The financial resources they control (3) If they have influence in more than one sphere and (4) How actively they wield their power to change the world.

Russian President Vladimir Putin ranks at the top of the list displacing US President Barack Obama who fell in second place.
