Vacant Position: Senior Librarian

QUALIFICATIONS

i) PROFESSOR – CONUASS 07
•   Candidates for this position must possess a Ph.D degree in the relevant fields with a minimum of 10 years post-doctoral cognate teaching, research and administrative experience in a recognized University.
•   They must have a reasonable number of significant scholarly publications in reputable national and international outlets, and also show evidence of significant number of research direction or supervision at the post graduate, especially doctoral level.

ii) SENIOR LECTURER – CONUASS 05
•   Candidates for this position must possess a Ph.D degree with 6 years post-doctoral cognate teaching and research experience.
•   They must also have a reasonable number of publications in national and international outlets. In addition, they must show evidence of research direction or supervision at the post-graduate, especially Masters level.

iii) LECTURER I – CONUASS 04
•   Candidates for this position must possess a Ph.D degree in the relevant fields with a minimum of 5 years post qualification experience.
•   Candidates with a 2nd Class Upper who show evidence of continuing research and publications in the relevant fields over a period of not less than eight (8) years will also be considered in lieu of Ph.D degree.

iv) LECTURER II – CONUASS 03
•   Candidates must possess a Ph.D degree in relevant field with a minimum of 3 years post qualification experience.
•   Candidates with a minimum of a 2nd Class Upper and a Masters degree with experience of five (5) years in lieu of Ph.D degree will also be considered.

v) ASSISTANT LECTURERS – CONUASS 02
•   Candidates must possess a good University degree with a minimum of 2nd Class
•   Upper Division and a Masters degree in the relevant field.
•   They must also show a strong evidence of potentials for an academic career.

vi) SENIOR LIBRARIAN – CONUASS 04
•   Candidates must possess a good University degree with a minimum of 2nd class lower division plus MLS, MLIS or Masters in Information Service.
•   Preference will be given to a candidate with a Ph.D degree.
•   Candidates must have attained the post of Librarian I in a University Library or comparable institution.
