Kwara State University invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the following non-academic positions in the university.

NON-ACADEMIC STAFF POSITIONS

A. COLLEGE OF AGRICULTURE AND VETERINARY MEDICINE

FARM MANAGER – CONTISS 09

QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidates must possess at least Master degree (M.Sc.) in Agriculture preferably in Crop
Production (Agronomy) with at least 5 years cognate working experience in the management of farms.

B. COLLEGE OF PURE & APPLIED SCIENCES

TECHNOLOGIST II - CONTISS 07

QUALIFICATION
(a) SSCE/GCE (O/L) or its equivalent with at least five (5) credits in the relevant subjects including English Language plus Final Technician or Full Technological Certificate of City & Guilds (FTC) or
(b) SSCE/GCE (O/L) or its equivalent with at least five (5) credits in the relevant subjects including English Language plus HND in Laboratory Technology from recognized institution or
(c) SSCE/GCE (O/L) or its equivalent with at least five (5) credits in the relevant subjects including English Language plus Final Diploma in Science Laboratory Technology.

HEAD, LABORATORY ATTENDANT – CONTISS 02

QUALIFICATIONS:
(i) First School Leaving Certificate or JSS III plus at least three (3) years working experience in a Laboratory.

LABORATORY ASSISTANT – CONTISS 03

QUALIFICATIONS:
(a) Same as in (i) above with at least 6 years working experience in a Laboratory
(b) SSCE O'Level with at least 4 credits in the relevant subjects including a credit in Mathematics and pass in English Language. Working experience in a Laboratory will be an added advantage.

C. UNIVERSITY LIBRARY

Vacant Positions: Senior Librarian – CONUASS 04

Qualifications:
•   Candidates must possess a good University degree with a minimum of 2nd Class Lower Division plus MLS, MLIS or Masters in Information Science.
•   In addition, candidates must have adequate knowledge in the use of the Library of Congress classification scheme and relevant online cataloguing databases.
•   Candidates must have attained the post of Librarian I in a University Library or comparable institution. Preference will be given to a candidate with a Ph.D degree candidate.
•   Applicants should note that this correction only highlights the areas of specialization required for this position.
