 The House of Representatives is constitutionally empowered to summon anybody including the President, therefore, no court of law can take away that power, Chairman of the House Committee on Media and Publicity, Zakari Mohammed, has said. Reacting to some media reports yesterday that handlers of President Goodluck Jonathan were contemplating dragging the House to court for summoning the president to brief it in closed door over the spate of insecurity in the country, Mohammed insisted that the parliament has not gone outside the law. "We are not acting ultra-vires. He (President Jonathan) may think that we are interpreting the constitution to suit us but the court will interpret what is in the constitution which is that we have the powers under section 88 and 89 of the 1999 Constitution as amended. We have not gone outside the law and the constitution to summon the president," he said.

But With The Way The Rule of Law is flouted,I doubt if any Positive move can be made by the House Of Reps Members
