A nutritionist, Ms. Chinoyen Onyenchire, has cautioned Nigerians against imbibing the habit of eating late at night to avoid having bulgy stomachs and constipation.

Onyenchire of Kubwa General Hospital, Abuja told the News Agency of Nigeria on Tuesday that it was advisable for Nigerians to adhere to healthy lifestyle by eating balanced diets during the day and not too late before going to bed.

"A good healthy eating is for one to eat foods that contain calories before 7.30pm," she said.

She explained that most people tried to eat too few calories during the day, "only to eat late at night.

"When you feel the urge to eat late at night, try drinking two or more cups of water."

The Chief Nutritionist of the hospital, Mrs. Victorin Eze, also advised Nigerians to always take light breakfast before 8.00am.
