Bouncers disgraced Funke Akindele at AY Show

A top Nollywood actress, Funke Akindele was disgraced at AY comedy show held at Eko Hotels and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos yesterday night.

An eyewitness informed that Funke Akindele was stopped by a bouncer at the entrance for her invite, but she pulled the "do you know who I am? attitude Stunt Nigerian celebrities always pull when stopped for checks.

The people at the scene were the rescuers of Funke popularly called Jenifa.  Even at that, was Funke Akindele's action right? Was the bouncer wrong?

The bouncer is just way out of line. Am sure that a person of funke's calibre won't attend an event without an IV. Even if that's was the case,the bouncer should have resolve it in a more mild manner instead of creating a scene.The truth is that we Nigerians don't give our celebrities the respect/support they deserve despite their efforts in carving a positive niche for the country. Am sure if it was one of our failed footballers,the bouncer would probably be asking for an autograph...wot a shame!

Being a celebrity shouldn't give room for disorderliness and not respecting protocol, especially in public places. Celebrities should put a respectful manners in public and behave like role models, cos loads of people are looking up to them. Funke Akindele would have save herself the embarrassment by simply presenting her IV, when asked. The bouncers were simply doing their job!
