A group, the Broad Minded Youth Assembly has flayed recent calls on Governor Rotimi Amaechi of Rivers State to step down as chairman of Nigerian Governors' Forum, NGF, describing same as undemocratic.
.
National Coordinator of the group, Mr. Mohammed Hassan, in a statement in Abuja, "expressed shock that a democratic process that transparently produced the Chairman of the Nigeria Governors Forum should be jettisoned when similar process was responsible for "the vibrant leadership we currently have in the National Assembly."
.
Noting that the call was not worthy in a democratic setting, he said "the idea is not only illegal but unhealthy for Nigeria's nascent democracy."
.
He tasked those proposing the idea to rather call on the chairman of the rival faction of the NGF, Governor Jonah Jang and his supporters to follow popular counsel and support Amaechi.

I don't even understand what is going on there anymore so I'm currently confused. They should drop more explanation.
