CJN Urged To Probe Okeke’s Allegation

A call has gone to the Chief Justice of Nigeria, CJN, Justice Mariam Aloma Mukhtar, to institute a probe into the alleged interference in the course of justice levelled against a justice of the Supreme Court by a retired federal High Court Judge, Justice Okechukwu Okeke.

A statement by a group, Lagos Collectives, LC, through its chairman, Professor Tejumade Akitoye-Rhodes said: "We at the Lagos Collectives respectfully demand that Chief Justice Mariam Aloma-Mukhtar should, as a matter of public urgency, set up a powerful panel of enquiry.

"The panel will carefully look into the allegations and summon those who are mentioned in order to arrive at the truth and clear the highest court of possible complicity in the perversion of justice."
