Final Year Lagos State University Student Charged With Exam Malpractice

A 43-year-old LASU student and one other were, Tuesday, arraigned before an Ikeja Magistrate's court over alleged examination malpractice.

The suspects are Bruno Aire Ehidiamen, 43 and David Onuche, 35.
.
The defendants who were docked before Magistrate Eniola Fabamwo, are facing a four-count charge of conspiracy, examination malpractice, forgery and impersonation.
.
Examination malpractice is punishable with 10 years imprisonment under the criminal law.
.
The police prosecutor, ASP Police Barth Nwaokoye, told the court that the defendants committed the alleged offence on August 15, 2013 at about 4 pm at Agidingbi area of Ikeja, in Lagos.
.
He said the defendants conspired together to cheat and engage in examination malpractice.
.
Nwaokoye said with intent to cheat at the examination, the defendants forged Lagos State University, LASU, examination docket.
.
He also said that Onuche unlawfully assisted one Ehidiamen to write the LASU final year Faculty of Law examination.
