« on: Jan 28, 2013, 05:15 PM »
Bafana Bafana’s quarter-final match against yet-to-be-confirmed opponents on Saturday at Moses Mabhida Stadium is sold out.
The ticket centre handling sales for the tournament has confirmed that there are no tickets available for Match 25, which pits Winners of Group A – Bafana Bafana – against the runners-up of Group B, who willbe confirmed tonight.
According to information from the ticket centre the sold out signs went up this afternoon following high demand this morning, after Bafana were confirmed as group winners last night with a 2-2 draw with Morocco, which was also played before a capacity crowd.
Durban has provided a carnival atmospherefor both matches Bafana have played at Moses Mabhida Stadium, which has a capacity of 54,000.
Any of the four teams in Group B can still finish second and be Bafana’s quarter-final opponents.
Bottom placed Niger take on current group leaders Ghana in Port Elizabeth while DR Congo will square up with Mali at Moses Mabhida, with both games kicking off at 7pm.
