Interactive Marketing Tips for your Business
« on: Jul 05, 2013, 03:47 AM »
The Internet can be so impersonal, but it is where many people are living their lives because it is convenient. With interactive marketing strategies, you can make the World Wide Web personal to your visitors and garner more customers and more sales conversions. Here are some interactive marketing tips for your business.
A Word…

First of all interactive marketing doesn’t have to only happen online. Traditional “offline” marketing strategies are inherently interactive because you are making personal contact with your potential customers. For example, a person comes into your brick-and-mortar store. You say hello and help them to navigate your store for ease of finding what they seek.

The same can be true online. Your website needs to be as friendly as you are in person. When a person visits the site, virtually say hello and guide them around so that they can find what they need and purchase it without hassle. For any business that has an online presence, treating customers with the personal touch makes all the difference. It’s perception and visitors that perceive that you understand them will identify more with your products and services. Give them what they want and they will buy.

5 Interactive Marketing Tips

In an effort to get more “personal” with your customers online, here are some interactive marketing tips that may help.

Is my website friendly? – Far too many websites make it complicated to reach the page that they seek. Link directly to the page you need your visitor to view. Make tabs easy to find and label them with appropriate keywords. Make sure that links throughout the site work.

Include several calls to action – Now that you have the visitor on the site, give them some instruction on what you want them to do. Throughout content and the website design, make sure that you are guiding your visitors to make a purchase. Use buttons that say things like “Buy Now” or “Click for more information” or “Add to Cart.”

Provide something to see – Customers love content because it is informative. Who’s to say that all content has to be in the form of articles? Embed helpful videos into your site. Demonstrate for the audience how your product works and what applications it has in their lives. Telling them that your product is great is fine but everyone else is doing that as well. Instead sell the idea of the need for the product.

Include feedback sections – Customers love to have a voice in the places where they shop online. Providing a way for customers to have their say is crucial to how they view your company and its products.

Utilize marketing methods that customers use – If customers are accessing your website through their Smartphone, create mobile friendly e-commerce pages. Create social networking pages so visitors can keep up with what is going on with your products and services.

Interactive marketing strategies bring you in closer relationship with the customers. Making relationship building a priority will help increase your sales.
