‘Four LGAs, Other Areas Still Under Boko Haram Control’

A Nigerian journalist with links to the Boko Haram sect, Ahmad Salkida, has revealed that, contrary to reports by the Nigerian military that Sambisa Forest is the last stronghold of the terrorist sect, the group still controls vast territories in North-eastern Nigeria.

Salkida took to his Twitter handle, contradicting claims by the Defence Headquarters that it has successfully liberated all the areas occupied by Boko Haram.

16. Those still talking abt dialogue or amnesty for BH r not only ignorant of this conflict but r victims of widespread misinformations.

— Ahmad Salkida (@ContactSalkida) May 24, 2015

15. And there is NO dialogue, there is NO room for amnesty. What is on the table is war, & such war can only be won with accountability.

— Ahmad Salkida (@ContactSalkida) May 24, 2015

14. Sadly, this war is far frm over & I’m afraid, the worse of it is yet to come base on the statusquo. BH is very much around in our midst.

— Ahmad Salkida (@ContactSalkida) May 24, 2015

13. If current narrative that ‘all is well’ goes on, Nigeria may not get the necessary assistance frm the rest of the world to save lives.

— Ahmad Salkida (@ContactSalkida) May 24, 2015

12. Villagrs feel betrayed nt only by Govt bt our collectiv failure as citizns to hold leadrs at all levels acountable & to do things right.

— Ahmad Salkida (@ContactSalkida) May 24, 2015

11. Many villagers have lost faith and hope in their country/leaders to save them, what they hear in radio contrast sharply wt the reality.

— Ahmad Salkida (@ContactSalkida) May 24, 2015

10. And many of d “rescued” were abandoned to escape NA’s/MNJTF superior firepower as BH has adopted a strategy of shifting battle grounds.

— Ahmad Salkida (@ContactSalkida) May 24, 2015

9. “BH is in control of vast territoriz.” Investigatn says, 4 LGAs & othr areas r under BH control. Why is stating this fact unpatriotic?

— Ahmad Salkida (@ContactSalkida) May 24, 2015

7. BH “still control vast territoriz.” Ppl living in Balge, Banki etc feel betrayed when they here that “Sambissa is last stronghold of BH.”

— Ahmad Salkida (@ContactSalkida) May 24, 2015

6. What we have is progress embellished & skewed for photo opp for immediate credit but not necessarily a sustained strategy to win the war.

— Ahmad Salkida (@ContactSalkida) May 24, 2015

5. Yes, FG has seized the narrative on war on terror but apparently the narrative is not founded on the principles of saveguarding lives.
