Pep GuardiolaLa Liga president, Javier Tebas has come out to reveal that he is not happy with Manchester City’s successful appeal against their two-year European ban.

Tebas recently revealed that the latest announcement has proven that CAS is not up to standard.

According to him, Switzerland is a country with a great history of arbitration but the recent decision has shown that a lot of work still needs to be done for clubs to begin to follow the rules.

He added that we all need to reassess whether the CAS is the appropriate body to which to appeal institutional decisions in football.

His words, “We have to reassess whether the CAS is the appropriate body to which to appeal institutional decisions in football,”

“Switzerland is a country with a great history of arbitration, the CAS is not up to standard.”

Recall that he had this to say when the reports of the ban first broke, “UEFA is finally taking decisive action.

“Enforcing Financial Fair Play rules and punishing financial doping is essential to the future of football.

“Years ago, we called for severe action against Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain. Better late than never.”
