High Chief Aleogho Dokpesi and his cohorts should stop this propaganda campaign and face the issues squarely. Dokpesi Snr already shot himself on the foot by admitting that he collected over #2 billion naira from the NSA which he claimed was payment for sundry publicity services rendered to the GEJ administration. His son Dokpesi jnr claims that Daar holdings had earlier submitted a successful proposal to the presidency in respect of the said services. If this is the case, why are they panicking over the continued detention of High Chief Dokpesi. They should simply do the needful by providing proof of their claims as well as the necessary due process protocols required for such high networth federal government expenditures. The truth of the matter is that Dokpesi snr mirrors the tragedies of PDP’s wasted years of official impunity. Otherwise, how do you bid for a contract in the presidency and get paid at the office of the national security adviser without asking questions. The Dokpesis should stop insulting the sensibilities of the Nigerian people by selling the bogey that Buhari’s fight against corruption is one sided. Rather, the question should be whether those being accused of corruption were actually culpable. If Dokpesi actually collected #2 billion for GEJ publicity expenses without due process, and this money was later traced to funds earmarked for military spending, then he has many questions to answer. Afterall, he never put up any advertorials in the AIT when he collected the money, why bother AIT viewers with intermittent advertorials about his detention for an offence he has admitted culpability. If he was man enough to collect #2 billion naira from former President Jonathan, he should be man enough to face the consequences in the hands of President Buhari.
