Report from Office of Head, Civil Service of the Federation.
The Federal Government has been called upon to work out a platform that would ensure the workability of the IPPIS platform to curb excessive revenue leakages and create more resources for development.
Governor of Cross Rivers State, Lyol Imoke made the call in Calabar at the Official Opening Ceremony of a 7-days retreat on development of the IPPIS – HR Processes “TO BE”.
Represented at the occasion by the Deputy Governor, Cross Rivers State, Mr. Efiok Cobham, Imoke said, the smooth implementation of the scheme will enhance accurate data on the number of employees on the Federal government’s Payroll and ultimately, create an enabling environment for proper planning and development.
He said further that his administration has already taken proactive action to stem the tide of revenue arising from bloated personnel in the State Civil Service.
The introduction of Cross Rivers State’s Smartgov and other Technological initiatives in the State, he said, have significantly afforded the State the opportunity of ascertaining the actual staff strength and wage bill.
Governor Imoke further called on the committee of HR-Experts to ensure active participation during the retreat and develop the final document that will be deployed for effective and efficient service delivery in the country.
