Job Title: Operations Cordinator

Location: Port Harcourt, Nigeria

Organisation: GUS Consulting Limited

Job Purpose: To be responsible for coordinating operations activities at the company's Port Harcourt Office. The successful candidate will report to the Head of Operations, Manpower Supply.

Key tasks and Responsibilities:

• Coordinate manpower supply operations activities – namely logistics, HR and administrative duties, at the Port Harcourt office

• Act as company's onsite representative at clients' facilities and project sites, as well as the key contact person for company employees working at clients' project sites and offices.

• Visit different clients' project sites and offices/facilities regularly and provide feedback to the Head of Operations.

• Report clients' complaints to the Head of Operations

• Liaise with clients' HR departments and site supervisors to ensure timely collection of employee timesheets and ensure that same are delivered to company Accounts/Payroll department.

• Liaise with Accounts/Payroll department to ensure timely distribution of payslips as well as assist in resolving complaints relating to pay issues.

• Assist company HR department during recruitment and induction of new employees and be the focal point of contact in handling employee welfare issues.

• Support company HR department to fulfil client's training requirements for company employees

• Monitor health & safety, community and security issues as it affects employees at clients' project sites. Escalate to the Head of Operations, when necessary.

• Provide other logistics and administrative support necessary for efficient office operations

• Perform other duties as may be assigned by the company.

Qualification Requirements: Minimum degree or HND qualification in social sciences, accounting or related disciplines

Experience: Minimum of 2 years post NYSC relevant work experience in human resources, operations or logistics functions preferably in an Oil and Gas, transport or marine related establishment.

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

•The candidate must be based in Port Harcourt and very conversant with its environs

• Should be able to swim and will need to pass a swimming test. Very important.

• Between 25 to 35 years old

• Able to drive and possess a valid driving licence

• Microsoft Word and Excel skills

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

• Good organisation and administrative skills

• Able to work independently with minimum of supervision
