Postdoctoral Position in Adaptive Systems for Technology Enhanced Learning funded by Science Foundation Ireland (SFI) 

Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Research position in the Knowledge and Data Engineering Research Group (KDEG), Discipline of Intelligent Systems, School of Computer Science and Statistics at Trinity College Dublin (TCD). KDEG enjoys a world-class reputation in the areas of adaptation research, intelligent systems and knowledge driven information systems. The successful candidate will have an excellent academic record (with a strong primary degree and an appropriate postgraduate qualification, i.e. Ph.D.) in Computer Science, or related discipline, strong communication skills and a proficiency for software development.

Experience of at least two or more of the following areas would be required:

    * Web Based Personalisation and Adaptive Systems
    * Semantic Web Technologies
    * Web 2.0 based eLearning Systems
    * Web systems development/Engineering
    * User Modelling

The Postdoctoral position is for three years duration and is funded as part of a SFI Principal Investigator (PI) AMAS project lead by Prof. Vincent Wade and Dr. Owen Conlan. The AMAS project seeks to support dynamic, integrated adaptivity and personalisation of web media and services to enable the dynamic and rich repurposing (recomposition) of existing content and web application services. This will be achieved through combining the three complimentary strands of Automated Model Driven Adaptivity of Media and Services, Models for Reuse Strategies and Visualisation for Reuse.

Remuneration will be in the form of a salary starting in the region of 37,750 Euro.
