RESPONSIBILITIES

•   Working as part of a team to analyse requirements, design and develop software programs

•   Developing existing programs by analyzing and identifying areas for modification

•   Maintaining existing applications and provide tech support for partners with existing applications

•   Working closely with other members of the IT team including web/UI developers, business analysts, etc

•   Integrating existing software products and getting incompatible platforms to work together.

•   Creating technical specifications, test plans, and operational documentation

•   Perform complete testing of applications; unit, system, integration, loading, etc.

•   Conduct user acceptances testing, and report results.

•   Researching new technologies

•   Carrying out other tasks assigned by line manager

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

•   BS in computer science, engineering or significant experience

•   Work experience will be an added advantage

•   Must have a portfolio of past projects to present for interview.

REQUIRED SKILLS

•   2 years minimum experience with Java. Knowledge of .Net will be an added advantage

•   2 years minimum experience with web technologies – HTML/XHTML, PHP, Javascript, CSS, etc.

•   Good working knowledge of SQL having 1 year minimum experience with MySQL and Oracle or MSSQL

•   Have at least one certification

•   Proficient in Software testing using tools like Junit, etc

•   Very good software documentation skills

•   Must have strong software debugging skills

•   Experience developing and implementing open source software projects

•   Excellent problem solving skills

•   Have good interpersonal and communication skills

•   Be able to work to tight deadlines with thoroughness

•   Self-starter with strong self-management skills

•   Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities

•   Be able to use their initiative

•   Be adaptable and able to pick up new techniques
