Purpose of Job:

•   The security manager must be able to translate the needs of the business, typically defined in security policies, into technical control requirements and specifications, with associated metrics for ongoing performance measurement and reporting.

•   The security manager prioritizes work efforts; balancing current operational tasks against strategic security programs, and provides regular progress reports.

•   This role also interacts with operational staff to incorporate new technologies, applications and security systems into operational workflows.

•   Ensure that service levels and vendor obligations are met. Be responsible for the security management and accountability of IT resources directly or indirectly in your care and ensure you exercise due diligence and due care over them.

•   Documentation and presentation skills, analytical and critical thinking skills, and the ability to identify needs and take initiative are key requirements of the security manager's position.

Key Result Areas:

1.Identify, manage and mitigate threats (external and internal) to Operating Systems, Server Infrastructure and End User systems.

2.Implement a protection system that includes people, processes, and technology resources; including Patch Management

3.Establish security standards in line with best practice such as ISO 27001

4.Recommend remedial action on assessed threats & vulnerabilities.

5.Provide regular reports on security incidents, service levels and project status.

6.Provide technical expertise for the administration of security management tools.

7.Review the UID creation live cycle on the servers

8.Cross check and update OS security fixes, and confirm that the clients are regularly updated after testing.

9.Maintain a knowledge base comprising a technical reference library, security advisories and alerts, information on security trends and practices, and laws and regulations.

10.Managing of Fire Pass VPN (F5)

11.Responsible for Windows Server Update Services (WSUS)

12.Setup and manage syslog servers

Required:

•   Bachelor's Degree

•   At least 4 years experience in GSM/Telecoms/Services sector and Knowledge of ISO, ITIL, COBIT and other frameworks

•   At least 4 years experience in Problem solving skills, Reporting skills and Analytical skills

•   English: Fluent

Preferred:

•   At least 6 years experience in GSM/Telecoms/Services sector and Knowledge of ISO, ITIL, COBIT and other frameworks

•   At least 6 years experience in Problem solving skills, Reporting skills and Analytical skills
