1) Drilling Superintendent (Semi Sub)Job description Drilling Superintendent (Semi Sub)
  • Manage the safe and efficient development, exploration and appraisal wells in water-depths up to 1000ft, offshore Nigeria.
  • Operations involve the following special challenges:
  • High pressure / narrow margin drilling techniques,
  • High angle / extended reach drilling,
  • Subsea completions and well testing,
  • Third party staff, service and equipment quality,
  • Complex supply chain and logistics.
  • Minimum of 15 years relevant experience, of which at least 5 in a similar position
  • Knowledge of onshore and jack-up operations would be beneficial.
  • Previous Nigerian / West African experience is advantageous.
  • Technical / engineering qualification preferred.
  • BOSIET offshore firefighting and survival or equivalent, including HUET.
  • IWCF sub sea well control at supervisory level or equivalent.
  • Exemplary HSE leadership.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of leading effectively in a multi-cultural society.
  • Sound knowledge of drilling engineering and international industry standards, ideally acquired while working for a large international operator.
  • Good organisational and project management skills, ensuring the efficient application of the company's well delivery and commercial processes.

2) Completions Supervisor Job description Completions SupervisorTasks:
  • Review completion programs to ensure understanding and where possible optimize

    same.
  • Supervises the deployment of completions at the wellsite, ensuring compliance with

    the completion programme and good oilfield practices.
  • Organise planning meetings, CWOP's, AAR's etc and ensure actions are taken to

    mitigate all risks in the program.
  • Visit contractor facilities to ensure:
  • Equipment is properly inspected and certified.

    Equipment is as defined in the completion program.

    Running tools have been correctly assembled into the equipment.

    Service contractor personnel have adequate experience and competence to

    perform their duties and are in compliance with contractual requirements.

    Equipment and tools have been inspected and accepted by Addax prior to

    load out.
  • Update completion database and Learning Register when in the office.
  • Provide detailed scope of work for completions and related services as needed for

    tendering or contracting purposes.
  • Recommend optimisation methods to improve operations performance.
  • Contribute to the development of a Completions Design and Operations Manual.
  • Mentor drilling and completion engineers as necessary.
Responsibilities
  • Offshore / onshore well completion supervision.
  • Ensure completions are deployed in a safe and cost effective manner as per the

    programme.
  • Ensure completion contracts are valid for all jobs run.
Accountable For:
  • Successful deployment of well completions with NPT within planned target.
  • QA/QC performed on all completion equipment and tools.
  • All equipment sent to the rig meets the minimum HSE and technical standards.
  • Timely availability of equipment for inspection and delivery to the rig.
  • Continuous improvement of completion practices.
  • Compilation of accurate completion performance data.
  • Develop comprehensive End of Well and other reports and records.
  • Ensure smooth interface between Drilling, Well Testing and Subsea during the

    completion execution.
KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS / PERFORMANCE GOALS:
  • Completion operations NPT below 10%.
  • Achieving completion time and cost within approved targets.
  • Zero waiting on equipment or tools
  • Compliance with the Well Delivery Process.
  • Continuous monitoring of well plans by means of performance sheets and KPI's to

    ensure plans are achieved.
  • 100% Inspection of all equipment and its make-up prior being sent to the rig.
  • BS degree / diploma in Engineering (preferred)
  • Member, Society of Petroleum Engineers. Member IADC. Attended industry courses in well engineering, well operations management, project management.
  • More than 10 years experience working in the same role.
  • Age: 30+ years (minimum)
  • Proficiency with spreadsheets, word processors and presentation software.
  • Excellent knowledge of completion engineering and international industry standards, ideally acquired while working for a large international operator.
  • This position is for Expart Hire.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with sound Completions engineering knowledge, ideally acquired while working for a large international operator.

  • Supervision of a jack-up rig to achieve the safe and efficient delivery of development, exploration and appraisal wells, in water depths between 19ft and 200ft, offshore Nigeria (OML-123).
  • High angle / extended reach drilling, Casing cementations (long cement columns), Drilling depleted reservoirs, Use of splitter wellhead technology, Potential for deep leg penetrations (>150ft),
  • Third party staff, service and equipment quality, Complex supply chain and logistics. Interaction with other departments (engineering, production, logistics, etc.).
  • Minimum of 10 years relevant experience, of which at least 3 in a similar position.
  • Extensive experience involving of jack-up rig operations, knowledge of semi's and land rigs would be beneficial.
  • Previous Nigerian / West African experience is advantageous.
