Job Title: Storage Engineer

Specific Roles:

•   Support the Installation, configuration and maintenance of SAN, NAS and CAS solutions.

•   Provide software related custom integration and implementation support of EMC products at the customer site.

•   Participate as needed, in installation and implementation of EMC, IBM and VMWare solutions.

•   Assist in ensuring the achievement of the department goals and objectives.

•   Designing work plans and installation procedures for field activation including: configuring network interfaces, configuring file systems, configuring IP/FC/iSCSI Host Base Adapters (HBAs), running scripts, zoning and masking, installing and upgrading software/code, testing/validating final product solution and developing appropriate customer configuration guides. Assists in more complex software implementations.

•   Assist in Preparation of technical architectural and implementation design documents

•   Helps to identify and leverage EMC and partner resources in order to satisfy the technical needs and objectives of the implementation.

•   Participates, as needed, as a technical expert in the pre-sales qualification and is responsible for the delivery of the technical architectural design, strategies and plans that will be delivered in the engagement.

•   Provides administrative support on BRS, Network Attached Storage (NAS) devices (Avamar and Data Domain) and Networker backup solution.

•   Duties include Designing, implementation, managing and support business continuity solutions including Networker, Avamar and Data Domain.

Degree Qualification: a degree in Computer Science; technology certifications.

Years of experience: 3-5 years field experience.
