The deadline is 12:00PM EST (GMT -5) on November 30, 2009.
If selected for the Diversity Visa Lottery you will be able to apply for US residence permit. This will enable you to live and work in the US on a permanent basis. Please note that you only have until the end of this month in which to apply.
You can check your eligibility for the Diversity Visa Lottery at any time here (http://dvlottery.state.gov/). Do not leave it to the last moment. In the past towards the end of the entry period the USCIS servers have not been able to cope with the level of demand by applicants for the Lottery. If this happens you will not be able to apply for this year's lottery.
