Roles and responsibilities:

1.Provide technical assistance and support for malaria & child health activities.

2.Work to expand coverage and institutionalize the ITN program, malaria case management, malaria in pregnant women issue and other prominent malaria & child health issues.

3.Support preparation of training/implementation guidelines and materials for building regional/provincial and district level capacity for strengthening the implementation of EPI, NIDS, disease control and provision of micronutrients.

4.Participate in technical committees to strengthen technical skills and implementation of guidelines relating to child health and malaria.

5.Develop plans for the project's malaria & child health strategy within the project's strategic framework, including strengthening the routine immunization system and supporting the continued delivery of immunizations and vitamin A.

6.Assist stakeholders with identification and selection of appropriate child health & malaria interventions.

7.Provide technical assistance to develop and implement improved approaches to supervision, monitoring and support of health personnel at provincial, district and health center levels.

Skill set:

•   Computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access; ability to produce accurate reports and data on activities.

•   Excellent communication skills in local languages; ability to give clear instructions; good English writing skills an asset.
