Job Title: Principal Subsea Intervention Engineer

Type: 12 Month Contract

Purpose:

•   The DWP Asset Support team is engaged in supporting Client production asset subsea and well operations as well as project activities within the Deepwater Projects Lagos delivery office.

•   To provide operational and technical support to intervention activities on Field Support Vessels and Rigs utilised in the ongoing subsea construction/maintenance of Client offshore facilities.

•   To support ongoing project management and strategic cost leadership practices.

•   Activity includes a mixture of subsea and pipeline construction, inspection, maintenance, and repair tasks

Accountabilities:

•    Responsible for managing the activities required for the day to day operation of Field Support Vessel(s) and Rig intervention including planning, cost control and contract management. This will include ROV and diving operations

•    Ensure that the Field Support Vessel(s) capability and availability is maximised. This includes ensuring that the intervention resources perform per the customer's expectations with regard to cost, schedule and quality.

•    Ensure that equipment, personnel and procedures required for Rig intervention activities are ready and available to meet Rig intervention schedule

•    Manage the preparation of detailed subsea intervention/construction procedures. Provide technical support to contractors in work preparation.

•    Initiate appropriate safety review processes (JSA, Hazid etc and ensure full close out of actions prior to work.

•    Coordinate the use of external/contract resources to support subsea activities.

•    Solicitation and evaluation of Operations input.

•    Development, control and update of applicable cost estimates budgets and schedules.

•    Accountability for cost, schedule, safety, and reliability.

•    Champion for opportunities to use Nigerian industry contract resources to support the engineering activities and develop indigenous expertise.

Education and Qualifications:

•    A well motivated and energetic engineer who must be committed to the Enterprise First approach.

•    A graduate professional with a minimum of 10 years experience in a subsea engineering environment.

•    Experience of ROV and diving operations.

•    The ability to manage change in a multi-cultural environment.

•    Ability to deal with multiple, often conflicting, goals and priorities

•    Demonstrated effectiveness in driving change.

•    Strong interpersonal skills – able to influence and develop relationships across disciplines and culture, be comfortable coaching and motivating others, and delivering through others.

•    Familiar with project development challenges in Nigeria or in other regions with similar challenges.

•    Excellent communication skills.
