An exciting opportunity exists for Team Member, Windows Management to support the Team Lead, Windows, Server & Workstations in meeting the team's strategic goals and objectives.
Responsibilities:
• Serves as a systems administrator responsible for a variety of Windows based operating systems.
• Configures, manages, monitors, and trouble-shoots computer systems, application/filer server hardware, operating systems, and peripheral equipment.
• Analyzes equipment and software reliability and utilization to identify and correct problem areas and to high system availability.
• Work with users to assess their needs, provide information or assistance to resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; based on current knowledge of Windows computer systems.
• Provide SAN and disk array administration support, including NetApp filers and Cybernetics backup.
• Creates and maintains scripts (i.e., logon scripts, etc.) designed to automate administrative tasks.
• Responsible for all Windows Administration
• Set up and Installation of all windows servers and workstations
• Repairs/ maintains all windows systems
• Ensures availability of at list a backup server at all times to serve as stopgap in case of crash of a branch server or any other key server in the bank
• Ensure minimum downtime resulting from pc/ server crash
• Performs any other duty assigned by Team Lead or head Infrastructure
• Liaise with Hardware/ OS Vendors
Requirements:
• Good technology related university degree preferably in Computer Science/Electrical Electronics Engineering or Numeric Science;
• Minimum of 4 years IT Hardware and Windows experience in a bank/ financial institution.
• Professional certifications in Microsoft (MCSE, MCP) will be added advantage
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Adequate knowledge of Hardware, Windows Operating Systems
• Adequate knowledge of System Support functions
• Experience in server hardware
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Clustering technology, RAID, etc
• Advanced knowledge of Windows 2003 Server, Windows 2008 Server, Windows 7, Windows XP
• Working knowledge of client server architecture environment
