My key client in Nigeria, an operator, is seeking a Wells & Subsurface Systems Integration and Technical Interface Lead to start as soon as possible on a upcoming project.

Purpose:

The BSWA / BN SSPL, Wells & Subsurface Systems Integration and Technical Interface Lead will report directly to the BSWA / BN Systems Integration and Technical Interface Coordinator.
  • He/She will be responsible for ensuring that all technical interfaces and systems integration in the BSWA SSPL, Wells & Subsurface scope are properly managed.
  • He/she will lead and coordinate BSWA SSPL, Wells & Subsurface scope activities from a technology/ overall systems integration viewpoint.
  • He/she will develop and/or deploy the latest Shell group tools for recording and monitoring/tracking BSWA SSPL, Wells & Subsurface scope Technical Interface items and their effective close out.

Accountabilities:

Ensure all technical interfaces, consistency in technical definition across board within the SSPL, Wells & Subsurface scope.
  • Coordinate and manage technical interfaces across the SSPL, Wells & Subsurface scope, and also with the BN project to ensure that synergies for SSPL & Wells systems replication are maximized across both projects in ways that optimize cost, time, quality and operability.
  • Manage the embedding of HSSE into SSPL, Wells & Subsurface scope systems integration & technical interface work performance driving for no harm to people or the environment & Flawless Project Delivery (FPD).
  • Be a proactive HSE leader and role model to the project staff and contract community.
  • Implement the BSWA Project Technical Interface Management Procedure in the SSPL, Wells & Subsurface scope.

Education and Qualifications:

BSc in Engineering and at least 12 years of experience working in the area of offshore oil & gas development including 10 years of FPSO with subsea system related engineering experience in systems integration and technical interface management lead role.
  • Strong combination of leadership skills, project delivery skills, experience of building and operating diverse relationships, organizing and managing systems integration and technical interface management functions, and understanding the commercial and business objectives and environment in which Shell EP operates.
  • Proven track record of having successfully delivered, or been a key contributor to the delivery of at least one large deepwater subsea project (>$500 million) from a systems integration & technical interface standpoint.
  • Strong HSE commitment and demonstrated HSE leadership skills.
  • Broad knowledge and experience of Project Management techniques, tools and practices.
  • Solid background in all aspects of EP project execution including design, procurement, fabrication, installation, commissioning, and start-up.
