Investec in partnership with Study Trust is offering undergraduate bursary to study towards financial sector related degrees at various local universities. All young SA citizens with academic potential who are in need of financial assistance are eligible to apply for this bursary. For the 2013 academic year successful applicants received a partial bursary to the value of R70 000. Application deadline is 30 September 2013.

Study Subject(s): The bursary is awarded to study: Commerce (Economics, Business Economics, Accounting, Investments and Finance), BCom Informatics, BSc Computer Science, BSc Information Technology, BIT-Bachelors of Information Technology, BIS-Bachelor of Information Science, Business Science, Science and Mathematics, Engineering and Commercial LLB.

Course Level: This bursary is awarded for pursuing undergraduate degree in South Africa.

Eligibility:-All young SA citizens with academic potential who are in need of financial assistance.

-Pupils holding or working towards a metric exemption with a minimum of 60% in English and Mathematics (not Math Literacy) and a 50% pass rate in all other subjects.

-Students who wrote metric (Grade 12) prior to 2008 should have a minimum of 60% in Math (HG) and English (HG).

Scholarship Open for Students of Following Countries: South African applicants are eligible for undergraduate bursary.

Scholarship Description: Investec is offering partial bursaries for the 2014 academic year to students who aim to study full time towards an undergraduate university degree.

What does it cover? The bursary amounts are reviewed and are subject to change every year. For the 2013 academic year successful applicants received a partial bursary to the value of R70 000. Applicants are thus advised to also apply through the Financial Aid Office of their university of choice for a study loan from the National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) to cover the shortfall. Selection Criteria: The main criteria for the selection of applications are financial need and academic potential.

Notification: All applications will be considered and selection will take place from September to December 2013. All applicants will be notified of the outcome by sms not later than 14 December 2013.
