Our client is a Global Operator who require support on their Nigerian Shutdown operations. The position will be based both onshore and offshore and requires the contractor to assist in the preparation activities required with planned shutdowns.

Further Information:

•   The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating with all teams involves with large scale shutdowns, and defining the shutdown work scope (materials, planning etc) and the scope of external services required. They will also ensure that at all times all of this work complies with HSE requirements.

•   The role will involve the preparation of repots and presentations during the Shutdown period, and assisting the planning engineer with the shutdown schedule. It will also require assistance to the shutdown team with coordinator of all shutdown preparation, in accordance to the shutdown plan. It will be the responsibility of the Shutdown Specialist to monitor procurement activities and ensure that critical items with long lead delivery are identified in advance and that the Shutdown team is notified so that mitigating measures can be implemented in the event of delays.

•   The successful candidate will follow up shutdown works performance until completion, including inputs as requested for the close out report and ensure that technical documentation is updated after modification are required during the shutdown period. It is essential that the shutdown specialist visits the site on a regular basis to ensure that the shutdown plans are understand and completed.

•   Candidates who wish to apply for this position must have at least 5-10 years of Oil and Gas experience, working in an operational shutdown capacity and ideally also have experience with the use of Primavera software.
