Job Title: Senior Piping Engineer

About this job:
1. Evaluate Production Facilities / Flow-line engineering drawings & design with respect to piping installation, layout and drawings, HAZOP studies & materials take-off.
2. Carry out studies up to 1M$, supervising design contractors with work force up 4 Engineers, 4 draughtsmen
3. Supervise and ensure good quality (compliance to company rules and specifications) of the engineering documents produced within Division and by engineering contractors.
4. Perform line sizing and specification in accordance with regulatory standards.
5. Issue specifications for materials procurement according to company/international standards
ACTIVITIES
• Carry out preliminary and basic facilities engineering studies / design in-house.
• Participate in Site Surveys
• Ensure that the facilities Engineering Contractors submit all deliverables on time and check it regularly.
• Prepares and supervise piping general arrangement drawings, piping, valve, fittings data sheets, specifications, MTO.
• Experience in the use and configuration of Plant Modelling Systems such as PDS/PDMS.
• Perform quality control of the deliverables (ISOs, Gas, Specifications, stress analysis, Data sheets, Materials list) received in-house / contractors.
• Carries out simplified stress analysis calculations and checks.
• Reads and interprets facility engineering drawings, designs and make necessary modifications or recommendations.
• Interfaces with Operations, Procurement, and Project & Construction for engineering related issues.
• Draws up and cross-check relevant procedures, international standards and Client's General Specifications.
• Checks and approves mechanical engineering deliverables received from third parties.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Ensures effective and timely response to technical queries in compliance with set standards, company specifications and safety procedures.
• Ensures effective design studies for infrastructures produced by contractors.
• Participates in the auditing of facilities engineering design contractors.
• Mentor and technically supervise the development of Piping Engineers
QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
• Minimum Qualification: University Degree in piping- mechanical Engineering with > 15 years experience in Oil & Gas production facilities.
• Competence driven leadership, trustworthy, managerial skills required.
• Experience with PDMS/PDS systems.
