The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) is an impartial, neutral and Independent organisation striving to protect and assist the victims of war and other situations of violence. The ICRC Nigeria is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated person who fulfills the below mentioned criteria and who will:

Job Title: Medical Field Officer (MFO)
Location: Port Harcourt

Main Task/Responsibilities:
The MFO will work under the direct supervision of the Health Delegate in Port Harcourt to implement the following medical programme in Rivers State:
• Implementation and follow-up of an outreach programme. focusing on immunization Ongoing collaboration and coordination with the Ministry of Health
• Assessments of local health services and of health status/needs of targeted populations
• General assessments of health related issues in the area of responsibility (significant health events; meetings with interlocutors; emergency needs).

Selection Requirements:
• Medical Doctor or Registered Nurse/Midwife. additional public health degree is an advantage
• At least 5 years working experience
• Experience In Immunization programme implementation
• Practical experience in public health
• Knowledge of health authorities and medical structures in the Niger Delta
• Excellent command of English, good commend of Okrika and Kalabari and/or other local languages
• Good knowledge in computer (MS Word. Excel & PowerPoint)
• Good Interpersonal skills and ability to develop a network of contacts
• Reliable and organized person
• Ability to achieve proper follow-up of the program management of files/records
• Ability to work independently
• Flexible and open-minded personality
• Good working spirit and ability 10 work In an international and multi-disciplinary team
• Ability to travel extansively within his area of responsiblllty
• Driving experience and valid driver's license

Assets:
• Previous work experience with a humanitarian organization
• Familiar with Niger Delta geographical areas and cultural context
• Familiar with the work of the Red Cross in general

Is the candidate with M.Pharm  PG degree is allowed to give interviews or not?
