Google values her relationships with professors and academia. Faculty Referral Program is one way that Google utilize this relationship to identify top talent on campus.

Google has commenced hiring for the 2012 Africa Trainee Programme in Zurich so would welcome suitable referrals. All referred students will quickly be contacted and that are eligible for opportunities with Google.

What is the Google Africa Trainee Programme?

This internship is an opportunity for computer science students from African universities to gain experience working in Google, Zurich, working specifically with the Emerging Markets team.

What is Google looking for?

Google tends to look for students and researchers that have strong algorithms, data structures and problem solving skills. Students should also be proficient in either Java, Python, or C++ and currently pursuing a BS, MS or PhD in computer science or a related technical field.

When does the Africa Trainee Programme take place?

The Africa Trainee Programme is 3 months in length and takes place from June to August.
