Job Title: Offshore Construction Supervisor

Job Description:

•   Awareness of Company's Quality Policy.

•   Be aware of and obey the Company Quality rules & perform the activities required by relevant procedures on these issues.

•   Ensures implementation of day-to-day priority work offshore in coordination with the Construction Manager.

•   Ensures the right level of quality on the worksite and work with Contractor to achieve project requirement with regards to QA.

•   Attends daily meetings and weekly progress meetings.

•   Evaluates construction issues on the worksite with Contractor workers and contribute to their resolution at worksite level whenever possible.

•   Ensures work procedures are properly implemented on the worksite and deviations are promptly reported to his hierarchies for further decision to be taken.

•   Reports any issue to Construction Manager and Project Manager and suggest best possible solutions.

•   Participates in clarification and responses to Contractor and/ or client queries.

•   Ensures proper liaison with the rest of the Engineering/ construction team to guaranty adequate coordination within the team for construction activities.

•   Ensures that activities performed on site in the project perimeter fulfil project HSE and QC requirements.

•   Reports any incident as per Company and Project rules.

•   Implements with Contractor site representative any risk assessment of Service Safety Analysis recommendation as required by Project HSE procedures.

•   Participates in Service Hazard Analyses and Attend safety meetings on a regular basis with contractors' work teams.

•   Assists in constructability reviews and the planning and scheduling of construction Services.

•   Monitor the overall progress of the contractors against schedule, providing reporting on same to line management, highlighting the potential for slippage and propose remedial actions and signing contractor daily reports, personnel and equipment timesheets.

•   Ensure Contractors have viable schedules for their work, recognizing interfaces with other ongoing company activities.

•   Participate, with contractors' staff and company operations staff, in all pre-commissioning activities.

•   Maintain adequate records relating to events surrounding the work, which may give rise to contractors claiming for a cost increase against contract.

•   Contributes to project close out reports as applicable.

•   Maintains good relationships with contractor team, being flexible enough but also strict when necessary (safety or other aspects) to achieve the objectives of the Site Modification Requests or of the Warranty Claim issues.

•   Any other work of a similar nature as may be requested Client' Management

•   Attend all the company-organised training courses when invited.

Project Location is Cotonu in Benin Republic.

Application Requirements:

•   Good communication and social skills

•   Ability to prioritize and attend to multiple assignments.

•   Ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment; high energy and enthusiasm.

•   High degree of independent thinking and ingenuity in problem solving in real time.

•   Min. 15 years for which 8 years is on offshore construction supervision role.

•   B.SC, M.SC in Mechanical Engineering. Must have several certifications such as in Fabrication, Factory Acceptance tests, Offshore survival training e.g BOSIET, Welding, Installations etc.

•   Probable work duration is 4 months (Min.) – 6 months but subject to extension.
