Job Title: Manager, CSR

Location: Lagos, Nigeria

Job Summary: Develop an effective Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) strategy and operating framework to promote the Etisalat brand and establish Etisalat as a socially responsible organisation.

Principal Functions:

•   Articulate key objectives and focus/intervention areas for the CSR function.

•   Keep abreast of global and local best practice as it relates to CSR activities.

•   Assist in continuously reviewing the unit's activities, make recommendations for improvement and implement approved initiatives to ensure enhanced performance of the unit.

•   Assist in identifying required resources, personnel and funding to achieve the unit's strategy.

•   Establish and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.

•   Coordinate the activities of the CSR unit and ensure compliance with Etisalat's operating policies, procedures and guidelines.

•   Coordinate the development of an effective CSR framework to promote Etisalat as a socially responsible corporate organisation.

•   Identify opportunities for Etisalat to participate in community intervention projects/donations and develop relevant plans and programmes.

•   Actively participate in the design and development of relevant CSR initiatives.

•   Manage interface with agencies, institutions, associations and the different levels of government in executing Etisalat�s CSR initiatives.

•   Ensure timely and effective implementation of approved community development interventions, plans and programmes.

•   Liaise with Head, Corporate Communications to proactively ensure the availability of funds to support all CSR initiatives and programmes.

•   Manage inter-functional relations to ensure synergy across the various departmental functions and compliance with agreed standards.

•   Plan and manage the human and material resources of the unit to optimise performance, morale and enhance productivity.

•   Provide leadership and guidance to team members and manage subordinates' performance towards the achievement of overall team objectives.

•   Monitor and control the budgetary needs of the unit.

•   Prepare/compile agreed periodic activity and performance reports for the attention of the Head, Corporate Communications.

•   Perform any other duties as assigned by the Head, Corporate Communications.

Educational Requirements:

•   First degree in any relevant discipline from a recognized university.

•   A post graduate/ professional qualification will be an advantage.

Experience,Skills & Competencies:

•   Six (6) to eight (8) years work experience with at least three (3) years in a supervisory role.
