Title: IPOET Masters Scholarships for International Students in Sweden, 2014

Chalmers University of Technology offers 40 government masters scholarships for international students. Citizens from non-EU/EEA countries who are required to pay tuition fees for Swedish university education except for the following countries: Bangladesh, Bolivia, Burkina Faso, Cambodia, Ethiopia, Kenya, Mali, Mozambique, Rwanda, Tanzania, Uganda, and Zambia are eligible for the scholarships. The scholarship includes a 75% reduction of the tuition fees (4 semesters /2 year programme). Application should be submitted till 15 January 2014.

Study Subject(s): Scholarships are provided for all of the current Master's Programmes at Chalmers starting in 2014.

Course Level: Scholarships are available for pursuing master degree at Chalmers University of Technology in Sweden.

Scholarship Provider: The International Programme Office for Education and Training (IPOET), Chalmers University of Technology and Government of Sweden.

Scholarship can be taken at: Sweden

Scholarship Open for International Students: Students of non-EU/EEA countries (except Bangladesh, Bolivia, Burkina Faso, Cambodia, Ethiopia, Kenya, Mali, Mozambique, Rwanda, Tanzania, Uganda and Zambia) can apply for the scholarships.

Scholarship Description: Chalmers will award about 40 Government scholarships (in 2014) funded by the International Programme Office for Education and Training (IPOET). The scholarships are allocated and granted by Chalmers. The selection is based on the applicants' relative academic excellence, which primarily includes weighted average grade but also home university´s stature (including position on global ranking lists) and priority order of the application for Chalmers Master´s programmes.

Number of award(s): 40 Government scholarships are offered.

Duration of award(s): Scholarships are offered for 4 semesters/2 year programme.

What does it cover?

-A 75% reduction of the tuition fees (4 semesters/2 year programme)

-Students who excel during their first year of studies may receive an increased scholarship reduction, which covers 85% of the tuition fee during the second and final year of studies

-No funds are transferred to the scholarship laureates

Selection Criteria: The selection is based on the applicants' relative academic excellence, which primarily includes weighted average grade but also home university´s stature (including position on global ranking lists) and priority order of the application for Chalmers Master´s programmes.

Notification: Scholarship notifications will be announced by Chalmers up until 15 March.

How to Apply: It is obligatory to submit an application for the selected Master's programme/s on University Admissions prior to making a scholarship application. Only then will you be able to obtain your individual application number and the  priority order (your choice of Master's programme/s) which must be at hand when starting the online Scholarship application.

Scholarship Application Deadline: The application deadline is 15 January 2014.

The application period for scholarships opens 15 November.
