The Global Change, Society and Sustainability Research Programme is aimed at supporting research and human capital development primarily in the following two Knowledge Challenges only:
• Adapting the way we live and
• Innovation for sustainability

The DST through the NRF hereby request NRF recognized research institutions or consortia led by NRF recognized research institutions in South Africa, to develop project level concept notes aligned to the an 8-year large-scale research programme in Global Change, Society and Sustainability aimed at supporting research and human capital development in both or any one of the two highlighted Knowledge Challenges.
