Ozoro community is located in Isoko North Local Government Area of Delta State. Ozoro is the headquarters of the Local Government. Ozoro is one of the fastest growing Isoko communities in Delta State in terms of land and house settlement expansion. Ozoro Progress Union (OPU) is the central body of Ozoro community in Lagos which helps to make intellectual and cerebral policies for community development. Ozoro Progress Union end of the year prayer summit which initially fixed for every end of the year was later changed to January of every New Year due to some of the community people that travelled in the yuletide season and to settle for business as usual for the year.

Ozoro Progress Union prayer summit started three years ago with the great intention to protect the community from all forms of spiritual attacks in Nigeria and Diaspora. This initiative prayer summit brings about the unity of Ozoro community in Lagos together in all ramifications. This prayer summit brings together both men and women wing to intervene spiritually for political and economic development of Ozoro community.

Ozoro Progress Union is one of the founded Isoko unions that are greatly doing well in terms of leadership development and integrity at all levels. Ozoro Progress Union is under the leadership of Engr Solomon Okpithe, the great oil and gas expert with integrity and humility to the core. He is one of the Isoko recognized personalities that has intellectual leadership to make Ozoro community to be sought after in all levels of governance in Delta State. Ozoro is one  of  the united Isoko communities in Delta State. Despite high profile level of educational attainment and International repute in life, he still humbles himself before elders of Ozoro community with divine blessings on his career pursuit. He participates fully on community matters that concerns Ozoro community at all levels in spite of his business commitment. He is a leader with large heart to lead his people without rancor or fear of terrorization.OPU has eight progressive branches which include Lagos main branch, Ojo, Ketu, Ikorodu, Agege, Mushin, Ejigbo and Eti- Osa. Engr Solomon Okipthe is the President of Ozoro Progress Union in Lagos while Prince Ogbaide is the Deputy President and Olori Patrick as the Secretary of the union. Though   OPU has first and second Deputy Presidents which Edwin Uban is one of them with uprightness while Godwin Orogu is also the chairman of Eti- Osa branch. Those elected into OPU must have high profile candor to be qualified in any of the offices and nothing more. OPU prayer summit always holds yearly at the Paragon Hotels and Suites limited opposite Ojo Police Station with over 100 Ozoro people in attendance. It comprises men, women and youths of Ozoro community.

OPU prayer summit is all about praying extensively for Ozoro community for effective development in all the OPU branches in Nigeria and Delta State. It is a union that is set aside to change the mindset of Isoko leadership in Nigeria. Although OPU prayer summit is not just the assemblage of Ozoro people only but also non Ozoro indigenes are also invited to witness the prayer summit too. It also invites highly spirit filled servants of God to offer the community with undiluted word of God and divine prayers of Prosperity, Deliverance and Protection. While music band is also invited to grace the prayer summit. Rev Dr. Ben Peters is one of the humble Isoko servants of God who has been part and parcel of OPU prayer summit on yearly basis as guest preacher. Other OPU ministers of God also invited for the prayer summit too. OPU is made of highly intelligent titans that know the worth of education to the core. At least 75 percent of OPU members both men and women have able to send their wards and children to higher institutions of learning whom the President of the union have the set the pace without qualms. His leadership creativity has equally brought light to OPU in Lagos.

The fact remains that all the OPU branch chairmen are equally doing their best to bring development to Ozoro community. Without the co-operation of these OPU chairmen, the central body would find it difficult to have effective leadership since its formation of the union. Ozoro community has illustrious sons and daughters in Nigeria and Diaspora. Since Engr Solomon Okpithe assumed office as the President of the OPU, unity has been totally embraced while those that saw OPU as mere gatherings of illiterates are now singing the songs of highly placed persons in Nigeria. OPU is all about selfless service to humanity in community development. It is sad that some Lagos based Ozoro indigenes are yet to join OPU in order to contribute their intellectual quota to the progress of Ozoro community. The leadership of OPU central body is the gathering of intellectuals with foreign exposure. Engr Solomon Okpithe and his Executive members have fully dedicated their time and money to see the massive progress of OPU. Ozoro community is one of the peaceful communities in Isokoland. Ozoro community has highly favoured sons and daughters that are economically doing well in their chosen professions.

Finally, OPU members must see Ozoro community as their own and make proactive decisions that would help to take Ozoro people to the Promised Land. The likes of Matthew Imonijabor, Pastor Monday Nana, Irejor Mathias, Prince Ezekiel Aforkoghene, and Rev Dr. Isaac Atalakpa, Okwegada and Lagos Ozoro women wing and others must be commended for their gracious participatory effort to see the light of the prayer summit.
