The PEPFAR Fellowship Programme was launched in response to the growing need for scarce skills human capacity development in HIV and AIDS care and treatment programmes within South Africa.

The President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) Fellowship Programme offers an exciting opportunity for masters' level graduates and students who have completed 80% of their Masters course work to be placed with HIV and AIDS service organizations (PEPFAR Partners) within South Africa.

Salaried positions are available throughout South Africa with the focus on scarce skills. The PEPFAR Fellowship Programme currently provides funding for up to 45 placement opportunities on an annual basis. The final placement for 2010 commences in October, with intakes for 2011 scheduled for January/ February and June/ July.

The fellowship currently has numerous available positions, each of which has been listed below.

The fellow will be expected to:
