It is available a pos-doc scholarship opportunity to study integrated use of sugar sugarcane bagasse for bioethanol production. This pos-doc position is linked to "Ethanol – Research and development aiming the integrated exploitation of sugarcane bagasse for the biotechnological production of lignocellulosic ethanol" thematic project, coordinated by Prof. Sílvio Silvério da Silva. The aim of the project is the fractioning of sugarcane bagasse in its main components (cellulose, hemicellulose and lignin) for their use in production of liquid biofuels (ethanol).

The research will take place at the department of Biotechnology of the Engineering School of Lorena – University of São Paulo, Lorena, São Paulo, Brazil.

The scholarship is 5.000,00 R$ per month (about 3.000,00 US$) plus benefits.

A complete CV must be send until April 19th, in pdf, for the e-mail below for evaluation. The candidate must have recent (5 years) Dr. or Phd title and be fluent in English, Spanish or Portuguese.
