Progressive Global Energy are seeking a Senior Reservoir Engineer for an independent oil & gas company, with a diversified portfolio of production, development and exploration assets.
Due to expansion and the acqusition of new assets, Progressive Global Energy are loking for a Senior Reservoir Engineer to join a stable Reservoir team providing reservoir engineering support to existing producing fields.
Responsibilities:
• Studying the behaviour and characteristics of gas/oil reservoirs to determine the course of future development and production that will maximize profit
• Conducting reservoir engineering studies (including analytical and/or simulation techniques as appropriate)
• Generating forecasts and reserve estimates to meet internal business plan, budget and external reporting;
• Formulating field development strategies and propose these to management
• Peer review team member to ensure technical quality and to enhance value
• Performing well-test interpretation of existing or new wells as well as reservoir performance predictions
• Production optimization through work overs, choke changes, nodal improvements, etc.
• Closely interacting with asset teams to maximize production whilst producing within operating envelope
• Carry out operational follow-up of new wells and work overs when required
Job Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
• Different recovery mechanisms (primary, secondary, CO2, compositional, thermal)
• Ever challenging reservoir development problems (voidage balance, gas storage/cycling & injection, multi-zone differential depletion, horizontal wells)
• Coupled and integrated reservoir modelling (IPM, IFM, Resolve, Parallel Simulation)
• Reserves estimation and categorization
• Risk, Uncertainty, value of information, project economics
• Variety of fluid types, ideally in both clastic and carbonate reservoirs
• Must have intellectual curiosity and rigor, reliability, imagination and creative thinking, autonomy and adaptability
• Have a good working knowledge of PVT, SCAL, reserves, reservoir simulation modelling, production optimisation, forcasting and integrated modelling
• Be a senior Eclipse user, proved experience with Eclipse modules including OFFICE, NWM, VFPI, Flogrid, Floviz, Schedule, Welltest, Petrel RE
• Have a strong back-ground on black-oil reservoir simulation and gas/oil field modelling and history matching
• Show experience on designing, interpreting well tests, preferably using Kappa-Saphire/Prosper/Welltest
• Show an understanding of integrated asset/ production modelling preferably with petroleum experts tools like GAP, Prosper and Mbal
• Good knowledge of all operational aspects of the oil and gas field including reservoir, drilling, completion, production and surface facilities.
