Job description:

•   Monitor Fabrication Contractors to ensure that project safety, health and environmental requirements are met.

•   Demonstrate personal commitment to the SHE Policy, Maintain awareness of and ensure compliance with all relevant Statutory and Company SHE standards, actively participate in company safety awareness and initiative schemes.

•   Participate in Company's planning meetings, risk assessments, toolbox talks, safety meetings, etc.

•   Spend the majority of time at the workplace to monitor performance of work and to coach and encourage company's personnel to achieve an acceptable safety, health and environmental performance.

•   Maintain good relationships with contractors. Where necessary intervene to stop work where appropriate standards are not met.

•   To ensure that all project personnel are motivated appropriately with respect to SSHE concerns and best practices

•   To ensure that appropriate SSHE policies, plans, and procedures are formulated and implemented during the entire Project duration, including construction, and commissioning

•   Liaise with other disciplines to improve effectiveness of the overall team

Requirements:

•   University degree in a technical discipline

•   Relevant fabrication and construction experience particular in an EP&C company.

•   Good spoken and written English.

•   Recognised professional safety qualification, Chartered Safety Professional preferred.

•   NEBOSH General or International Certificate

Terms & Conditions: For this position preference will be given to Nigerian nationals. In case expatriate candidates are selected, it is a prerequisite he/she is tasked to mentor and train a Nigerian understudy.
