The ECA is inviting applications from qualified young African graduates in the areas of Agriculture and food security, Industrialization and infrastructure, International trade and regional integration, Investment policy and equity investment. Total 5 fellowships are offered and covers monthly stipend, airfare for the duration of six months. Fellowships are open only to nationals of United Nations Economic Commission for Africa member states that have graduated from an African university or are enrolled as PhD students. Women applicants are encouraged to apply. Applicants must be of below 36 years of age at the time of the application. Email your application by 29 Oct 13.

Eligibility:-Education Advanced university degree (Master's or equivalent) in social sciences, African Studies, development studies, economics, Law or any other related area. PhD will be an advantage.

-Work Experience: Experience in research/analytical work in agriculture and food security; industrialization and infrastructure; international trade and regional integration; or investment policy and equity investment in the context of Africa, either in the academia or in private, public or civil society organizations, is required. Experience in working with African institutions at national, sub-regional or regional level is an advantage.

-Language Fluency in one of the working languages of the UN Secretariat, English or French, (both oral and written) is required; knowledge of the other is desirable. Knowledge of another UN official language is an advantage.

-Qualified women are particularly encouraged to apply. Candidates applying for the position must be below 36.

Scholarship Open for Students of Following Countries: Nationals of United Nations Economic Commission for Africa member states are eligible for this research fellowship.

Scholarship Description: Fellows will work on a predefined project, designed to contribute to specific aspects of the work programme of the receiving Division of ECA, the Regional Integration and Trade Division and its African Trade Policy Center.
