Roles and responsibilities:

The following are the roles and responsibilities for this role:

A. Service Desk Operations:

• Solving incidents as they arrive through phone, mail, and helpdesk system.

• Escalate problems to second line support when necessary.

• Inform users of scheduled downtimes or any service outage.

• Monitor incidents trends and escalate it when necessary

B. Service Monitoring:

• Attend to system health monitors.

• Resolve alerts when arise.

• Inform second line support for any unfamiliar and critical alerts.

C. System Operation and Administration:

• Perform scheduled datacenter backup.

• Perform database replication.

• Reports scheduling.

• Email filter.

• User accounts and permission management.

• Antivirus updates and incidents.

• Data-center patches management.

• Helpdesk system administration.

• Enhancing communication links up time and report incidents.

• Maintaining AMC (Annual Maintenance Contract) for out of warranty systems.

• Shared folders structure and security.

• Perform periodic Capacity planning for existing running servers, LAN, and communication links and escalate requirements to IT Manager/station manager/Chief technology Officer.

• Manage, maintain and upgrade all needed databases (SQL...).

• Handling all Telephony technical related issues.

• Implementing all new upgrades and updates for the available systems.

• Remotely manage and control the IT systems and networks at branches.

• Maintaining and managing all pocket PC's technical issues

D. User Support:

• Providing user technical support.

• Install and maintain computer hardware.

• Provide user support to ensure the effective and timely resolution of technical problems and keeping users updated.

• Provide users with up to date system and security knowledge awareness sessions.

E. Customer Support:

• Provide customer with CTS, support and troubleshoot customer raised issues.

• Provide customer with e-POD.

• Provide customer with e-Invoice.

• Provide major customers with EDI solutions

Skill set:

• Bachelor Degree in Information Systems/computer science/engineering.

• Previous experience in database development and design is a plus.

• Previous experience in IT/MIS field is a plus.

• Good Database knowledge (preferred SQL).

• Crystal reports knowledge.

• MCSE is a credit.

• Communication Skills.
