VC, University Of Nigeria, Dedicates Achievements To Staff And Students!

The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, Prof. Bartho Okolo has dedicated the achievement of his administration so far to the cooperation andpeaceful atmosphere he enjoyed from members of the University Community.
Speaking during a thanksgiving service which marked the end of 52nd Founders Day celebration, held at Saint Peter's Chaplaincy, University of Nigeria, Nsukka, Prof. Okolo thanked God for the peace that had endured in the University under his administration. He noted that a peaceful atmosphere was necessary to achieve the objective of the University which is aimed at positioning the institution to be globally competitive. He therefore thanked members of the university community for sustaining the atmosphere of peace.
The Vice-Chancellor further thanked the Church for their moral and spiritual support which he said had contributed immensely tothe success of the University. He also reiterated that the on-going restructuring ofthe University environment was necessary for thesuccess of the Institution in the next 50 years.Prof. Okolo therefore urged all hands to be on deck to build the University to be the best in Nigeria and in Africa.
Also speaking, the Chaplain of the Church, Rt Rv. Monsignor Taddeo Onoyima, commended the Vice-Chancellor for his Visionary leadership and his resilient spirit which enabled him overcome frustrations that were meant to distract him at the initial stage of his administration.
Monsignor Onoyima further lauded the administrative sagacity of Prof. Okolo and remarked that for a leader to record a meaningful feat in the University, "he must be stubborn in the right direction"he stated that the doggedness of the Vice-chancellor was the rightattribute needed to move the University forward.
The clergy man also announced the zero tolerance of his Chaplaincy to indecent dressing; he urged Deans and Heads of Departments to join him in the fight against indecent dressing to save young generation from degenerating into the cesspit of immorality
