Shepherd University is announcing two undergraduate and graduate scholarships programs to both US students and international students. Scholarships are awarded in Digital Arts at Hollywood CG School of Digital Arts and in Music at Cornel School of Contemporary Music. Scholarships are awarded to outstanding qualified applicants based on the quality and creativity of their audition submissions. Full scholarships will be awarded to cover the tuition fees. Applicants who are not fully qualified may be considered for partial scholarships.

Study Subject(s): Scholarships are awarded in the areas of Music and Digital Arts for the following programs:

Shepherd's Digital Art Programs-

1) The Bachelor of Science in Digital Arts program with two concentrations: 1. VFX (Visual Effects) & Animation major. 2. Game Art & Design major.

2) The Master of Science in Information Technology program has two top areas: 1. VFX (Visual Effects) & Animation. 2. Game Art & Design

Shepherd's Music Programs:

1) Bachelor of Music with 6 concentrations: 1. Performance. 2. Contemporary Christian Music. 3. Composition. 4. Film Scoring. 5. Music Production. 6. Songwriting.

2) Master of Music with 6 concentrations: 1. Performance. 2. Contemporary Christian Music. 3. Composition. 4. Film Scoring. 5. Music Production. 6. Songwriting

Course Level: Scholarships are available for pursuing undergraduate and graduate degree at Shepherd University.

Eligibility: Shepherd University Scholarships are open for both US and international students. Basic requirements to apply for the Scholarship Program in the area of Digital Art:

- A high school diploma or bachelor's degree diploma

- An official transcript in English along with explanation of the grading system

- Recommendation letters

- A Shepherd University application form

- Portfolio of projects (if available)

Scholarship Open for International Students: US and international students can apply for these Shepherd University scholarships.

Scholarship Description: The Hollywood CG School of Digital Arts at Shepherd University is offering full scholarships to creative students to support the next generation of global leaders in entertainment and digital content. The Cornel School of Contemporary Music at Shepherd University is also pleased to announce that it offers full scholarships to talent students. Scholarships are awarded to outstanding qualified applicants based on the quality and creativity of their audition submissions and only covers the tuition. This full scholarship only covers the tuition and will be offered to students who have an excellent academic background (GPA 3.7 or higher). The application can also be supplemented with a portfolio if it's available. Applicants who are not fully qualified may be considered for partial scholarships. The following details Shepherd Scholarships:

-Shepherd Board Scholarship: established by the Board of Shepherd for deserving students chosen by the scholarship committee

-Presidential Merit Scholarship: the Presidential Merit Scholarship was established to honor students who have exhibited or have the potential to exhibit extraordinary abilities and contributions.

-Dean's Merit Scholarship: the Dean's Merit Scholarship has been established to honor students who have exhibited or have the potential to exhibit exceptional talent and contribution in their major field.

-Graduate Teaching Assistantships: Graduate students who demonstrate exceptional talent and extensive professional experience may be eligible for teaching assistantships, which offer tuition assistance.The recipient is to be chosen by the Dean of each school and the Scholarship Committee.

-Special scholarships for talented students who have won awards in any contests related to Digital Arts such as computer graphics, character, animation, VFX, design, etc.

-Continuing education scholarships for students who are currently working in the Digital Arts industry.

How to Apply: As part of an admission application packet, a student will receive a scholarship application. By completing and submitting the form, the student can apply for a scholarship program.

Scholarship Application Deadline: The application deadline for Shepherd's Music Programs is July 10, 2014 (for fall session) and for Shepherd's Digital Art Programs are June 30. 2014 (fall) and November 30, 2014 (Spring).
