IMAS Honours & Masters of Antarctic Science Scholarships, mid-year 2010
Institute for Marine and Antarctic Studies
IMAS offers an exciting range of options for honours study within three broad areas of research:
Sustainable Marine Resources: focuses on the Tasmanian marine natural resource field with emphasis on the development of Tasmania's wild fishery and aquaculture industries
Climate and Antarctic Futures: focuses on marine ecosystems, including coastal and estuarine, in the context of climate change, and includes ecosystem and marine systems modeling; the consequences of change on marine biodiversity and ocean environments from Australia to Antarctica; evolution of the Southern Ocean
Australians and the Sea: focuses on the interaction of humankind on the whole marine environment, from ocean policy through harvesting regimes to bio-security, seafood quality and seafood product supply chain. IMAS will offer up toseven scholarships to full-time students commencing either:
an honours program in the field of marine and Antarctic studies and supervised by a staff member of IMAS or;
