The opportunity:   – Deep water Drilling engineer – my leading client, a secure ever expanding exploitation and production company in West Africa are urgently seeking a technical and performance driven, hands on drilling engineer. Division- Operations  – You will have to show the ability to possess extensive knowledge in well operations. The successful Drilling Engineer- will become a key member of the Drilling Team for preparing and delivering on the company's expanding assets.

The Scope:

•   B.Sc. Degree in engineering discipline.

•   5 years and more drilling engineering experience

•   Land operations experience

•   Valid supervisor level well control certificate

•   Most importantly completions knowledge

•   deepwater experience very important without it will not be put forward

•   NIGERIAN NATIONALS ONLY **•   AND OTHER WEST AFRICAN NATIONALS (Local laws)

Nice to have:  

•   Levels of understanding of the requirements and performance field studies as field developments planning, material balance, etc.

•   Demonstration of ability to be team player and mentor skills

•   Level of adherence to timeless and accuracy of data provided for analysis.

•   Well construction technology and operational knowledge

Job Duties:  

•   Identify and organize well operations files

•   Prepare the well engineering aspects of well proposals

•   Prepare and maintain the wells basis of the design/programs

•   Prepare AFE's

•   To direct junior well engineers working on projects.

•   Ability to contribute effectively in company HSSE programs & systems.

•   Ability to monitor daily drilling and completions operations.

•   Provide detailed scope of work for all Drilling, Completions and work over service contracts.

•   Manage drilling and service contractors equipment, materials and personnel to reduce operations cost.

•   Maintain well cost within or under approved budget.
