Job Title: Operations EHSS Supervisor

Job description:

•   Provide leadership and direction to minimise the risks in the Company's operations.

•   Assist the EHSS Manager in monitoring the operation of Production and Drilling Management System and advise EHSS Management of any deviations from agreed guidelines.

•   Ensure the application of the system by all levels of management and supervision.

•   Assume responsibility for promoting positive EHSS culture.

•   Instil a genuine belief that all accidents are preventable.

•   Assure effectiveness through training, workforce culture, auditing, drills and reporting.

•   Analysis of statistics and provide management presentations.

•   Provide and guide in use of procedures for reporting and analysing hazards and incidents in Nigeria.

•   Facilitate knowledge sharing through identifying EHSS learning opportunities and the timely sharing of the information.

•   In consultation with EHSS Manager, co-ordinate the career development of EHSS professionals.

Requirements:

•   University degree in Engineering or any of the social sciences, disciplines in EHSS specialty, (e.g. loss prevention engineering, risk management, and safety management).

•   Minimum of 8years cognate experience in health, safety, security and environmental risk management in a systems or product engineering design, manufacturing and/or construction environment. Considerable experience in an EHSS management/supervisory position in international work environments.

•   Working knowledge of local and international laws, regulations, codes, standards, and best industry practices for EHSS (e.g. ISO, OGP, IADC, UKOOA, API, ASME, NFPA, ASSE, ASIS, etc.).

Terms & Conditions: For this position preference will be given to Nigerian nationals. In case expatriate candidates are selected, it is a prerequisite he/she is tasked to mentor and train a Nigerian understudy
